Exterior Paint Color Portfolio
The following is a small sample of the over 1600 projects. Click on the image to make it larger. I do not have a listing of the colors used in the projects below so there is a research fee. If you are interested in obtaining the color name and code for any of the samples, please email me with the Project ID listed below the project name along with Before, After, Alternate 1,2 etc. Please understand that the color calibration of your monitor affects the colors you see on your screen. There is a $20 research fee for the first color and $10 for each additional color payable through Pay Pal.
Color Placement Corrections on Multi-colored Victorian
Scope of Work:
- Exterior paint colors and color placement correction.
Color placement is most important and requires an understanding of the building’s architecture. As you see in the enlarged version, there are numerous colors placed in the wrong places.
One example of such is the porch ceiling. This may be difficult to see since it is shaded. The red porch ceiling and red porch soffit give the feeling that the ceiling extends past the porch through the architrave (the beam being held up by the columns) and is part of the soffit. The soffit is therefore disconnected from the architrave when is should be part of it. The porch ceiling should be a separate unit.
Additionally, the design of the house does not have the decorative features to support multiple colors. A more simple color scheme displays a more refined elegant look. Unfortunately a lot of people with Victorian homes get carried away trying to make them into a painted lady and badly fail.
Suggestions for future improvement:
- Homeowner plans to redo steps.
- Landscaping.
