The following is a small sample of the over 1600 projects. Click on the image to make it larger. I do not have a listing of the colors used in the projects below so there is a research fee. If you are interested in obtaining the color name and code for any of the samples, please email me with the Project ID listed below the project name along with Before, After, Alternate 1,2 etc. Please understand that the color calibration of your monitor affects the colors you see on your screen. There is a $20 research fee for the first color and $10 for each additional color payable through Pay Pal.
1875 Farmhouse

Homeowner’s love to accent Victorian features on their house. Seldom do they do it correctly. Notice the original photo the trim over the porch appears out of place. Accenting trim can ONLY be done in certain situations and a certain way.
Golden Foursquare gets Tamed
The previous owners of this Foursquare loved the gold color you see.
A deep neutral trim color mellows out the strong gold.

As you see in the before photo, almost every inch of the house is painted this harsh gold color. The new owners needed to fix the problem but didn’t want to paint the entire house. This deep grayish-green trim is able to tame this gold color.
The photo to the right is an actual photograph taken by the homeowner after the house was painted.
As you see the lighting is different softening the gold.
I was told that numerous people complimented them on the color combination.

I like to include one alternative paint color but with this house I had a hard time choosing. So here are my favorites.
1897 Victorian in Colorado gets New Paint Colors
Before. Spandrels should not be accented.

Notice in the before image how the spindles in the upper porch rail disappear when picked out in a contrasting paint color. Painting them the same color as the trim now makes them visible.
See the alternative color image. The paint colors are reversed. Dark trim with a light body. The lesson here is that light or dark colors are not as important as color placement and contrast. The dark spindles are also visible since they are the same color as the trim around them.
1890 Brick Victorian
Before. House looks washed out.
Black sash, shutters and deeper colors make this house look richer.
