Exterior Paint Color Portfolio
The following is a small sample of the over 1600 projects. Click on the image to make it larger. I do not have a listing of the colors used in the projects below so there is a research fee. If you are interested in obtaining the color name and code for any of the samples, please email me with the Project ID listed below the project name along with Before, After, Alternate 1,2 etc. Please understand that the color calibration of your monitor affects the colors you see on your screen. There is a $20 research fee for the first color and $10 for each additional color payable through Pay Pal.
1868 Martha’s Vineyard Cottage
This was a difficult house because the placement of the colors were all over the place. The idea is not to select as many colors as you can but repeat the use of the current colors so that the features they color can relate to each other.
Scope of Work
- New paint colors.
- Correct color placement.
1901 Colonial Revival
While the homeowner would have preferred accenting the features like a Queen Ann, one must remember that this is NOT a Queen Ann. It is a very formal house and accenting the details will make the house look cheap and tacky. Sometimes it’s difficult to get a homeowner to understand that less is more.
Scope of Work
- New paint colors.
1891 Blue Victorian
Blue is not a historic paint color and it looks awful on this house partially because of the bad color placement. The color placement on this house really throws the house off.
Scope of Work:
- Color placement corrected.
- New paint colors.
Second Empire Painted Lady in NJ
Scope of Work:
- Color placement corrected.
- New paint colors.
I don’t normally do painted ladies for they are extremely complicated to do if done correctly. In this case some of the color placement needed to be corrected for the colors did not follow through with the architecture.
