1903 Richardsonian Romanesque in Wisconsin
This is a very elegant house and if you look closely there are both red and green accents. One accent is enough before the look begins to cheapen. Additionally the placement of colors needed correction.
Scope of Work
- Correct color placement.
- New colors to complement the stone.
1890 Colorado Eastlake Victorian
The before house colors appear very washed out. The problem however is the accenting. The accenting placement is off and the architecture is not followed. Features are accented just for the sake of accenting that should not be accented. Notice the green roof. A green roof color is very authentic and looks great however it does make it more difficult to find paint colors. Difficult as it may be it is so much better than the boring gray roofs you see. The house turned out very nice just like the person who lives there.
Scope of Work:
- Correct color placement.
- New historic paint colors.
1891 California Victorian
Some of the best advise I can give anyone is Less is More. The less clutter you have in front of your house the better. Choose 2-3 matching chairs that coordinate with usually the window sash color. One vase with a plant by the door. NOTHING ELSE.
Scope of Work:
- Correct color placement.
- Paint colors.
