The following is a small sample of the over 1600 projects. Click on the image to make it larger. I do not have a listing of the colors used in the projects below so there is a research fee. If you are interested in obtaining the color name and code for any of the samples, please email me with the Project ID listed below the project name along with Before, After, Alternate 1,2 etc. Please understand that the color calibration of your monitor affects the colors you see on your screen. There is a $20 research fee for the first color and $10 for each additional color payable through Pay Pal.

Color placement was very bad as I hope you can recognize. There are actually three different trim colors on the house! Notice the thatched roof style asphalt roof.

This homeowner was choosing color for a future paint project. A selection was not determined at this time.

1922 Craftsman in Oklahoma with Thatched Roof

Alternate paint colors.
This roof is not actually thatched and never really was ever thatched with straw but was originally designed to replicate a thatched roof. When the roof was replaced the roofers did their best to replicate it and they did ok. It could look much better though. Many other houses like this replaced their roofs to that of a conventional roof. If you have a roof like this I recommend doing some research for a good reproduction thatched style roof. I have seen some done very well. Sorry – no blog about this for I don’t know enough about it. Maybe you do though? Let me know.

South Africa House Color Fix

The homeowner from Johannesburg, South Africa contacted me with the thoughts of replacing her beautiful windows with gray aluminum. The house would then have black trim, gray windows and some white elements such as light fixtures. Never try to bring in all these colors. The brick is beautiful and the black in the brick is very elegant when combined with all black trim, etc. The secret is that everything must be one color and that is black. Now the house shows unity. One recommendation I would make is to add curtains in the upstairs window so the black window is more noticeable.
