Bad House Design – Don’t do this to your home!
This porch was recently built by a contractor. Although the entire porch is ugly and not designed properly I would like to point out the porch skirting only. Plainfield NJ has one of the best preservation minded communities, an excellent Historic Commission, and a terrific city planner that is trained in historic preservation. These photos just show you that although the best help is at your finger-tips, homeowners still think they know better. Sooo glad they are not my neighbors!

It’s a sin to remuddle the interior of a historic home but a bigger sin to alter the exterior. This considerate homeowner thought of the appearance of the neighborhood when installing this garage.
