**Meet Lucy! **

An 8 week old Wire Fox Terrier.

It’s been 17 years since Monkeyface,  [http://www.oldhouseguy.com/little-doggy-top-page/ ](http://www.oldhouseguy.com/little-doggy-top-page/)
who passed in November was a puppy.

I forgot how much work and fun it is.

Lucy will eventually become CEO of Old House Guy LLC but first she needs to learn
NOT to poop on the floor as the rest of us have learned.

**New Format and Navigation for Website **

If you haven’t seen it yet, the website has been redesigned. We hope it will be easier for readers to navigate around and find interesting content.  We’re not done yet, of course.  There are many improvements we want to make so our readers will get as much out of the site as we put in!

Many of our longer pages will be be split into shorter, more topic oriented pages.  Instead of having one 9000 word Windows page with everything, we’ll have separate pages for “Windows Design”, “Window Repair”, etc.  We hope this will improve readability and the chances that people find the content they’re interested in.

I always wanted to keep a topic on one page.  I hated getting lost going to other links and not finding my way back to where I was reading.  I promise I will keep it simple so that does not happen.

To see a sample of the new layout and menu go to the [Services page. ](http://www.oldhouseguy.com/old-house-restoration-services/)  (now called “How We Will Help You”)

[Deserted Buildings – Romantic Yet Sad ](http://www.oldhouseguy.com/deserted-buildings/)

Deserted buildings always have some mystery to them. Detroit has some beautiful
buildings that are now in ruin. As grave markers, these wonderful old buildings
hang on to show us their age old beauty, as they slowly erode to their death. As
empty as these buildings are now, these great photographs capture the sounds and
voices that still echo through …
