With Google Street View you are able to view a location in its current state and also view it at an earlier time.
See what changes were made to houses over an approximate 15 year period.
Unfortunately you cannot go back to a pre-Google Maps time. Someday maybe, you never know.
It would be nice if you could go back farther, but this is a pretty good option for now.
I pass by this house often but just noticed the ugly porch roof – not to mention all the other bad things this bad homeowner did to their house. To see what changes were made I looked on Google Maps Street View and went back in time to see. You may have known about this but I just discovered you can do this.
This all started for me because I thought they made the porch roof too high. Actually they kept the same height however this shinny black metal roof with all those overbearing seams make it seem larger and chunkier than it really is.
If you’re a follower of this website you should be pretty good at picking out all the problems made to this house by now, so I’m not going to list them. I may test you someday though.

wonderful website, love your sense of humor.
I believe my neighbor Myles Zhang is working on something like a historic-google street view.
keep an eye out, he’s pretty brilliant – https://www.myleszhang.org/
