This 1890 home is getting a makeover. The fake siding is being removed and the replacement windows are being replaced. Since the house is in the middle of construction it was best to work from the architects drawing of the front elevation. The goal here is to select paint colors for the house.
This is merely a drawing and to add colors would be just coloring in a coloring book. To provide a more realistic color appearance the following was added.
- new wood siding
- wood balusters
- roof shingles
- operable louvered shutters
- the actual new windows
- shadows, lawn etc.
One issue I should explain. The windows were chosen by the person that actually wrote the design guidelines for the historic district this house is located in. However the windows for this 1890 home would have been two-over-two or a one-over-one design.
